This website was started in spring 2016 to enable the run-down and eventual closure of The Welney Website (the community website,
welney.org.uk) so the webmaster could devote
more time to other interests whilst still maintaining much of the reference material available on line.
During summer 2016, the site was joined by The Welney News (the parish magazine) to publish back-numbers on line.
A potted history of each with index of archived pages/back-issues can be found via links on the left. Transfer of webpages and digitising the magazines is a lengthy process and will continue throughout 2016.
Other major sources of information are the Parish Appraisal of 1997-98, and Parish Action Plan of 2008, and these are available here in PDF format.
Also available here are minutes of the Welney Parish Council from late 2004 to 2016.
